Dental overcrowding is a common condition and arises when the teeth are too big to be aligned in an acceptable regular appearance.  Orthodontic treatment of dental irregularity and crowding is achieved by either expanding the dental arches or creating space through tooth extraction or enamel stripping or a combination of any of these and alignment with orthodontic appliances.
