Clear braces are the most popular choice of fixed appliance for adult patients, and North Sydney Orthodontics specialize in straightening crooked teeth in adults. The number one bracket choice in our practice is Ormco ICE for good reason.  It has the same basic design as a standard 'siameze' metal  bracket' but ICE braces are made of monocrystaline sapphire ceramic with almost invisible clear aesthetics and solid reliability with very low failure rate.  Ceramic brackets in general do have some problems that don't exist in metal brackets - namely they occasionally fracture because they are brittle, and have relatively higher friction so can take longer to complete treatment.  We also offer other brace systems that may potentially result in shorter treatment time - have a look at our self ligating brackets.
